This necklace is a reproduction of an Ancient Egyptian design featuring amazingly blue AAA quality Lapis Lazuli beads. The beads are composed of undyed, natural Lapis Lazuli, collected in Afghanistan over 50 years ago. Smaller beads are 6mm, larger ones 10mm, along with 19 traditional Ethiopian handmade gold-washed brass amulets (believed to protect their wearer from harm). The light and hollow amulets have smooth backs and measure, on average, an inch in length. The clasp and small metal beads are gold vermeil. The necklace measures 19.5" and is strung on silk thread.
